Costco's Kirkland Signature Prosecco: DOCG Valdobbiadene and Asolo for about $7 to $10, the 2025 recall, and name brands in multipacks.
Where DOCG Prosecco costs less than a sandwich in some cities, provided your warehouse sells wine at all.
Costco's Prosecco story is mostly a Kirkland Signature story. The warehouse club's own label has offered Prosecco Superiore DOCG from Valdobbiadene and from Asolo at around $7 to $10 a bottle, which is the kind of price that makes wine people do a double take. Alongside it you'll find a Kirkland Rosé, the big names in bulk, and multipacks of minis. Two things to know before you load the cart: what's for sale depends heavily on your state, and the Kirkland Valdobbiadene was the subject of a large recall in 2025.

The 2025 Kirkland recall
In 2025 Costco recalled Kirkland Signature Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG because the bottles could shatter. According to CBS News (8 November 2025), about 941,400 bottles were affected, sold from April to August 2025 in 12 Midwest states. The recalled item is number 1879870, UPC 196633883742. CBS named the importer as F&F Fine Wines International, trading as Ethica Wines. Fortune covered the recall in September 2025.
We could not confirm whether the bottles in warehouses now are affected. Before you buy, or if you have a bottle at home from 2025, check Costco's recall page and match the item number and UPC.
Our picks
These are judgements from appellation, style and price. We haven't tasted these bottles for this page.
Best under $15: Kirkland Signature Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG, about $7. A Superiore DOCG at the price of a basic DOC almost anywhere else. Asolo is the smaller of the two Prosecco Superiore DOCG zones.
Best DOCG: the Asolo again. The Kirkland Valdobbiadene is the other DOCG, at about $8 to $10. Until you've checked it against the recall notice, the Asolo is the simpler choice.
Best Rosé: Kirkland Signature Prosecco Rosé DOC, about $8.60. A DOC Rosé under $10 on average, from the tracker's June 2026 data.
Best for a party: Mionetto Prosecco Brut party pack, 6 x 187ml, about $15.87. Six single-serve bottles, no pouring, no half-finished bottle going flat. Good for toasts, gift bags and anyone who wants exactly one glass.
If you see it, buy it: Kirkland Signature Prosecco DOCG, 3 liters, $29.99. A double magnum of DOCG for about $30 is a showstopper. It was last seen in May 2025 and was out of stock, so treat a sighting as a gift.
Exclusives and private labels
Kirkland Signature is Costco's own label, and it's the reason to shop for Prosecco here. We couldn't find the winery behind the Kirkland Proseccos named publicly, so we can't tell you who makes them. The one name on the public record is the importer of the recalled Valdobbiadene, Ethica Wines, per CBS. The labels do tell you the appellation, and that's the part that counts: Valdobbiadene DOCG, Asolo DOCG and a DOC Rosé.
Buying tips
- Check before you drive. Whether your warehouse sells wine depends on your state. Pennsylvania and Maryland warehouses don't.
- The Executive reward may not count. In about 24 states, the 2% reward excludes alcohol.
- Read the zone. Both Kirkland DOCGs say Superiore on the label. Valdobbiadene and Asolo are two different hill zones, and buying one of each is a cheap way to taste the difference for yourself.
- Minis keep. A 187ml bottle is one generous glass, so the party pack doubles as a week of single-glass evenings.
