Prosecco at Sam's Club

A warehouse club with a short Prosecco list and one genuine headline: a Superiore DOCG for less than eight dollars.

Sam's Club isn't trying to be a wine merchant. Its Prosecco list is short, and most of it is the same big brands you'll find at the supermarket, at supermarket prices or a little under. What makes it worth a page is the store's own label. Member's Mark Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG was listed at about $7.68 when we checked, which is less than most shops charge for an ordinary DOC. Buy it by the six-pack and it drops below $7 a bottle. We find this cheering, and so, judging by the brunch crowd, does everyone else.

At a glance

On membership, sources disagree. Food Republic says you don't need one to buy alcohol in a club; a 2019 report said curbside and delivery were for members only. Ask at your club before you make the trip.

Best under $15 and best DOCG: Member's Mark Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG, about $7.68. The same bottle wins twice, and we aren't sorry. Asolo is one of only two zones allowed to call its wine Prosecco Superiore DOCG, and this one won a silver medal from USA Wine Ratings in 2025. It's 85% Glera plus local grapes, at 11% alcohol. At this price, the mimosa doesn't have to be the point.

Best Rosé: La Marca Prosecco Rosé, about $13.96. The only Rosé on the list, and a fair price for it.

Best for a party: the Member's Mark Asolo 6-pack, about $41.88. That's about $6.98 a bottle for DOCG. Where it isn't available, La Marca's 12-pack of 187ml minis gives every guest their own bottle.

If you see it, buy it: Mionetto Prosecco Brut, about $11.88. The only bottle here that says Brut, for the friend who finds most Prosecco a shade too soft.

Exclusives and private labels

Member's Mark is the Sam's Club own label, and a Member's Mark Prosecco was first reported as on the way in 2020. The Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG is the one to know. Reverse Wine Snob had it at $7.98 in 2023, so the price has held steady. Sam's Club doesn't name the producer on the sources we could read, and we couldn't find it elsewhere. There's also a Member's Mark Prosecco 2-pack, which may be a DOC rather than the Asolo; we couldn't confirm which.

Buying tips

• Asolo is the other DOCG. Most people know Conegliano Valdobbiadene. Asolo, a smaller hill zone to the west, is entitled to the Superiore DOCG name too.
• Buy the case price, not the bottle price. Multipacks are where the savings live here. Some multipacks can't be prepaid online and are paid for when you collect.
• Prosecco keeps well enough, but not forever. Buying six is fine if you'll drink them within the year. Keep them somewhere cool and dark.
• For mimosas, buy cheap and good, not expensive. Orange juice covers a lot. A DOCG at under $8 is the sweet spot.
