Luekens started as a single discount liquor store in Dunedin in 1988, founded by Henry "Hank" Lueken, who wanted the most brand names at the lowest prices. The Jallo family, Simon and his sons John and Chris, bought it and grew it into eight stores across Pinellas County and Tampa, still family-run. Searching the site for "prosecco" returns about 245 items, spritzes and mixers included. The real Prosecco shelf runs from a $4.96 mini to a $22.99 DOCG, with sale prices that make the DOCG shelf look like a typo. Best under $15: Villa Sandi Asolo Prosecco, $9.99. A hill-grown Asolo Prosecco at the price of a supermarket DOC, and not a sale price, so it should still be there next week. Wine Enthusiast scored Villa Sandi's Asolo Brut 90, vintage not stated.

Best DOCG: Nino Franco Rustico, $22.99. The Valdobbiadene classic, scored 90 by Decanter in 2025. If $23 is a stretch, Mionetto's Superiore DOCG is $17.99.

Best Rosé: Casa Farive Prosecco Rosé DOC, $9.99 on sale. A labelled DOC Rosé at half its regular $19.99. It's Extra Dry, so expect a touch of sweetness. La Marca Rosé at $13.99 is the everyday fallback.

Best for a party: Zonin Prosecco magnum, $23.99. Two bottles' worth for eight dollars less than La Marca's magnum. For a picnic, the 187ml three-packs from Zonin ($12.99) and La Marca ($15.99) save you a corkscrew and a debate.

If you see it, buy it: Villa Sandi Cartizze La Rivetta Brut, $19.99 on sale. Cartizze is the little hill above Valdobbiadene that makes the region's most prized Prosecco. At $19.99, down from $49.99, it costs less than Santa Margherita. Sales end, so don't wait.

Buying tips

• The sale tags are real, and temporary. Casa Farive, Sun Goddess, Zardetto and the Cartizze were all marked down on 24 Oct 2026. Check the site before you drive.
• Bring the ad. Luekens matches a local competitor's current printed ad on an identical bottle. Online-only prices don't count.
• Read past the name. Gregoletto farms DOCG hills but seals with a crown cap, so it can't carry the DOCG label. It's one of the more interesting bottles on the shelf.
• Driving is optional. Same-day delivery covers about 20 miles around any store, which is most of Pinellas and much of Tampa.
